Tesla presents an electric truck with 800 km of autonomy

This morning, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has presented his first semi-trailer electric truck. 800 kilometers of autonomy, 36,300 kilograms of maximum weight and that reaches 100 kilometers per hour in 5 seconds. This is the presentation card of Tesla Semi.

Of course, the date of arrival on the roads is unknown, although "may be reserved from 2019". The truck has a futuristic design, with the seat and steering wheel centered in the cabin and two screens on the sides of the steering wheel. In addition, it will be semi-autonomous.

Although Musk has defended that his truck will be 20% cheaper per kilometer than a diesel, the latter can travel about 1,600 kilometers with a full tank, twice the range of the Tesla vehicle.

Although all eyes in this event in Los Angeles were directed to the presentation of this electric truck, Tesla has surprised with a sports car with a range of 1,000 kilometers. "The fastest production car ever made," says Elon Musk.
